About Me
Hi, I'm Lily!
I am a visual storyteller, editor, and Broadcast Journalism graduate based in Reading. Whether filming a documentary, capturing an event, or working in a fast-paced environment, my focus is always the same: understanding the pulse of an environment and translating it into compelling digital media.
My journalism background from Nottingham Trent University drilled a rigorous operational discipline into my creative process. Through demanding, live "newsdays," I learned to operate as a rapid-response multimedia journalist, heading out into the field independently to shoot, interview, and edit polished packages under strict, same-day deadlines. Expanding on this fast-paced environment, I served on the Trent TV society committee, where I managed administrative logistics, produced high-quality broadcasts, and handled live timing cues under high-pressure broadcast conditions.
Alongside my studies, I built a freelance photography practice and produced first-class digital features and documentaries. I am incredibly comfortable being out on the road, configuring studio setups, and managing high-volume editing workflows (delivering 100+ processed assets within 48 hours).
Beyond the technical side of cameras and Adobe software, I am a natural people person. Years in busy front-of-house hospitality roles across Berkshire have given me an approachable, calm communication style.
I am also deeply motivated by responsible business practices, community-centric storytelling, and mental health advocacy. I believe great visual content shouldn't just look beautiful; it should be created thoughtfully, with consideration for the people and the wider environment involved.
