Experience

A showcase of professional milestones spanning live broadcast journalism, digital production, and studio development.

TV Gallery Work

A multi-skilled approach to television news production, reflecting an active, hands-on involvement in every critical element of the studio and control room gallery.

Through a rotating series of live "newsdays" and studio features, I gained practical experience across the entire production pipeline. This included leading the floor from the gallery as a Technical Director and Vision Mixer, using the green screen and graphic softwares to present the weather, control audio levels as a Sound Technician, manage the auto-cue for the presenters, and gained extensive experience managing the gallery's running count and broadcast timing

This 360° training ensures a deep technical understanding of how both creative editorial decisions and control room operations seamlessly align under live, high-pressure broadcast constraints.

Journalistic Social Media Content

Conceptualised, scripted, and produced high-engagement journalistic content tailored specifically for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

Translated complex, long-form news stories into digestible, visually compelling social media posts, utilising original graphics, text overlays, and short-form video packages to build a strong online presence.

Technical Studio Build

This section highlights the successful technical build of a podcast facility/news studio in Brussels.

Infrastructure Development: Supported the technical build of a podcast and broadcast studio in Brussels, specifically engineered for seamless, fully remote production workflows.

Problem Solving: Successfully navigated extensive building construction delays and international hardware shipping disruptions.

Client Relations: Maintained a calm, highly professional communication channel with the client throughout technical roadblocks, ultimately supporting the delivering a high-spec studio setup that exceeded client expectations.

Trent TV Committee Leadership

Live production management, team leadership, and outside broadcast logistics. Serving as the Deputy Station Manager for Trent TV, I gained experience coordinating and executing complex, multi-camera live broadcasts from major commercial venues like the Motorpoint Arena and Meadow Lane Stadium.

This role required a sharp combination of creative direction and technical operations, managing live crew deployment, directing multi-camera setups under tight deadlines, and calling live cues to deliver high-energy, fast-paced sports and entertainment coverage.

Working interchangeably as a live camera operator and a director of broadcasts, I gained immense confidence and versatility across all areas of a professional production. This dual experience sharpened my ability to execute precise, fast-moving visual compositions on the ground while simultaneously managing the overall rhythm, multi-camera switching, and crew communication from the director's chair.
